MMP Schools Liaison Officer (NRICH Hands-On Maths Roadshow); full time / 1.0 FTE

Salary range: £27,854-£36,298 pa (University of Cambridge Grade 7)

We are seeking an exceptional teacher and mathematics communicator, with a passion for inspiring others to share their love of mathematics, to take over the running of our existing Hands-On Maths Roadshow and further develop and extend it with new activities, working alongside our NRICH project team.

The successful applicant will be a graduate in maths, science or a related subject. Substantial experience of teaching in UK primary or secondary schools is essential. The post-holder must be able to adapt content and presentation style for a range of audiences of different ages. Excellent organisational skills are essential. The post involves considerable and frequent travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas to work with schools. Because the post involves working with children appointment will be conditional on a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

This post is offered for a fixed term of 1 year in the first instance, with the possibility of extension if further funding is secured. The starting date will be 1 September 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
